FRANGERE (The Breaking)
The monumental sculpture Frangere (160 cm) serves as the culmination of the artist's thesis on Matter and Fragmentation. By reconfiguring waste cardboard into an effigy of visceral anguish, Evelio Moreno not only pays homage to Munch’s expressionistic intensity but strips it bare to expose the psychic fragility of the contemporary era. The re-assembled material becomes a metaphor for societal collapse and the ephemeral existence. The work is a material and conceptual rupture, a 160 cm scream that echoes in the void left by consumption and waste.
