JUEGO DE NIÑOS: Una indagación transmedia sobre la violencia (Children’s Game: A Transmedia Inquiry on Violence)
Based on a sinister reinterpretation of the classic tale The Three Little Pigs, this project is a visceral response to the staggering rates of violence against women in Mexico. The project originates from a germinal linocut and expands into a frenetic-paced animation that blends the "rubber hose" elasticity of the 1930s with the raw aesthetic of 1990s Saturday morning cartoons. In this urban nightmare, three anthropomorphic pigs—symbols of a predatory and decadent masculinity—harass a woman in a claustrophobic nocturnal setting. What begins as a scene of oppression culminates in a bloody catharsis: vulnerability is torn away to give way to the Wolf. It is a fierce critique of impunity, where the victim reclaims her place as the predator of her own executioners.
The centerpiece, frantically painted in a single afternoon on a baby blanket, uses the support as a symbol of desecrated innocence; the acrylic bleeds through the fibers of the textile in the same way that trauma pierces memory. Institutionally validated at the Museo Palacio de los Gurza and the Museo de Arte Moderno de Gómez Palacio, Children’s Game establishes itself as a pillar of Moreno’s investigation into the degradation of purity and the subversion of power.
