LINES IN FLUX
The LINES IN FLUX sub-series is an investigation into the fluid line and the codification of desire through the female nude. Abstracted from social critique, these works are driven by the exploration of the tension and matter of the body as an archetype and creative engine. Here, desire is not the end goal, but the driving force that compels the artist to fix the form.
Using Ink, Watercolor, and other media, the body is stripped of narrative to be analyzed as a field of forces. The line becomes the suture that assembles the figure, while the poses and fluid environments serve as the formal excuse to study the body in its state of constant Flux. This is an aesthetic dialogue on the gaze, where sensuality is transformed into the discipline of form.
The artwork depicts a female figure in an expressive, arched pose, using a vibrant palette of orange and blue against a minimalist white background. An aesthetic of rawness, reclaiming fashion iconography from the 90s.

An original work by Evelio Moreno, this watercolor with India ink depicts a nude woman reclining against an abstract, cosmic-tinged background. The style is loose and almost automatic; the silhouette is outlined in ink, and the woman's hair is gathered with a lock of blonde hair falling over her face. She is turning halfway around, as if someone had surprised her in her nakedness.
